PHOTOGRAPHER +
DESIGNER
I have 4 years of experience in photography and design. I am currently working part-time at Photography by Alfonso in White Plains while providing website, branding, and other media services to a local church.
CREATIVE JOURNEY
My creative journey began in middle school when I first found an interest in video production. I would create short films with my friends, being most passionate about the cinematography aspect. This enthusiasm led me to engage in my school’s film club and secure a position filming the Board of Education meetings. Transitioning into high school, I eagerly enrolled in my first formal Film class. Fastforward to my freshman year at Messiah College, I found myself at a crossroads, still undecided about my academic future. While I enjoyed film, my true affinity lay behind the camera crafting shots.
That summer, I challenged myself to hone my cinematography skills through the practice of photography. I ventured outdoors with my camera daily, capturing and sharing on Instagram the photos I took. I realized I loved photography and the next semester I declared my major in Digital Media to pursue this newfound passion. In college, I studied a wide range of topics like typography, motion design, color theory, and composition through my major courses. These courses not only sharpened my eye for design but also kindled an interest in graphic design.
Next summer, I reached out to a reputable photography studio close to home in New Rochelle where I secured an internship. Immersed in various assignments ranging from weddings to professional portraits and product shoots, I honed my
craft and expanded my skill set.
I wrestled all four years of college. When
I wasn’t in season, I worked as a sports photographer for the Athletic Communications Department on campus shooting various sports events for the
school. Now that I have graduated, I am looking for a professional setting to leverage my skills in graphic design and photography. With a versatile, service-oriented approach and a meticulous eye for detail, I
am poised to contribute meaningfully to
any creative endeavor.
